Who can participate?The race is open to current Collegiate athletes who are competing for a USA Triathlon certified Club program.

Where does the race take place?Lake Mission Viejo & Mission Viejo California will be the host site for the 2024 Collegiate Club National Championships. All races will start from Lake Mission Viejo - 22555 Olympiad Rd, Mission Viejo, CA 92692

What can we expect the weather and water temperature to be in the middle of April in Mission Viejo CA?Athletes can expect April daily temperatures in the mid 60's to low 70's.

What are your plans to implement COVID safety measures at the event?We will continue to work with local government and public health officials to operate the event under local and state safety guidelines. We will implement additional safety measures in compliance with the latest guidelines during the race.

What hotels are close enough to bike to the event?Ayres Hotel and Spa and Ayres Suites Mission Viejo are less than 3 miles from the race site.

What airport should I fly into for the event?Two good airport options are John Wayne (SNA) Orange County airport and San Diego (SAN).

What is the best way to ship bikes?Bike Flights offers athletes an option besides flying with bikes. When flying with your bike, please check with your airline for pricing.

What items will I need during packet pick-up?Each participant MUST bring a valid ID. All annual USAT members must bring their membership card.

What happens if I need help during the swim?There will be many boats, kayaks, lifeguards, and water safety teams out on the water during the swim. They are available if you need to grab onto a boat or kayak for a minute to rest or re-orient yourself. This action will not incur a penalty. They are there for rescue as well if you determine you cannot finish the swim and wish to drop out of the race.

Is there a practice swim I can attend before the race?Yes, there will be an option to swim Friday April 12th - check back for time

Will there be bike support at the venue?Yes – bike support will be provided to athletes

Where is the Finish Line?Lake Mission Viejo parking lot and beach area will play host to this year’s transition, expo, athlete zone with team tents and Finish Line.

Will I receive anything when I finish?Olympic Distance athletes will receive a National Championship finisher medal.

Where are the Aid Stations located throughout the course?Transition, Swim Exit, and at each mile along the run course.

What is available at the Aid Stations?Water and Electrolyte Drinks will be available to all athletes.

Will there be food available for athletes at the finish?Yes, check back for menu – coming soon

Where is the best place to watch the race?This venue is a spectator friendly one especially on the Draft Legal and Mixed Team Relay Events. Outside of transition and the beach area will be the best place to catch the action.
